Practice Manager - Maggie Read

Maggie joined Healthcare 2000 Clinics in May 2001 as administrator/PA to the clinic director. She has a background of supervisory and management positions and obtained her qualifications by attending part-time courses at college in addition to her working hours.

Maggie became practice manager in 2008 and since then has managed all the clinics within the Healthcare 2000 Partnership. She is responsible for the day to day running of the clinics and also the accounts, wages, human resources and administration of the partnership.

Chiropractic assistants

Chiropractic assistants work during several of the chiropractic sessions at the Wingfield and Chippenham clinics. All have recognised massage diplomas, are experienced in treating basic sports injuries and have undergone rigorous additional training by Healthcare 2000 Clinics.

The programme we have evolved at our clinics has been designed to fulfil our own needs to train assistants to take over some of the more time-consuming duties of the chiropractor, leaving the chiropractor free to help more patients. The chiropractor can therefore concentrate on eliciting the case history, performing the examination, reaching the diagnosis, formulating the treatment plan, delivering the chiropractic adjustment, assessing and reviewing progress and directing any adjunctive treatment procedures to be carried out by the assistant.

Sue Johnson

Sue is the longest serving CA, having joined the Chippenham clinic in March 1995. As she has been with us for such a long time she knows many of the patients and is adept at putting them at ease. She has helped to train many of the CAs and has, in the past, had her own remedial massage practice at Chippenham.

Anna Crockett

After securing a baccalaureate with distinction in her native France, Anna studied business and international trade in Europe and Canada and held a number of administrative positions in large companies. Changing tack in 2000, she studied shiatsu in Geneva and followed with visits to Thailand to study Thai massage and yoga. Meeting her future husband there she moved to England and after achieving an IIHHT Level 3 certificate in Body Massage she joined the Wingfield Clinic CA team in 2004. After her first baby was born in 2006 Anna transferred to the Chippenham clinic. She recently reduced her hours in order to concentrate on training to be a homoeopath.

Lynne Stevens

Lynne joined the Wingfield Clinic in 2006 as a CA. Qualified in body and sports Massage, deep tissue massage, Indian head massage and reflexology she has worked as a holistic therapist at the Aqua Sana Spa, Center Parcs, Longleat Forest since 1999 and is one of their most experienced practitioners. She works for us one day a week and rotating Saturdays.

Lynne’s many interests include the sport of kings, and she recently joined her partner in the Royal enclosure after his horse enjoyed a win at Royal Ascot.

Mai Brain

Mai graduated from the City of Bath College as 'Student of the Year' in her Complementary Therapies ITEC course and went on to enhance her remedial massage and spa treatment skills with further training at the college. She is our most recent CA, having joined the Wingfield Clinic in 2009, and when one of the other CAs reduced their hours Mai agreed to work at the Chippenham clinic too. When not with us she can be found exercising her skills at the Royal Crescent Hotel’s luxury bath house spa.

Mai became a 'granny' this year and enjoys her new role. She also enjoys walking with her dog.

Rosa Visor

After a long career in the financial services sector with administrative, management and HR responsibilities, Rosa took a break from commerce and developed an interest in remedial and sports massage. After qualifying in 2006 Rosa joined the CA team in Chippenham to cover for maternity leave and has stayed with us as a 'bank' CA ever since. She became a mum herself in 2008 and remains a CA at both Wingfield and Chippenham clinics. Coming from an Italian family, Rosa speaks fluent Italian.

Mike Wilkins

Mike gained distinctions for sports/deep muscle therapies and holistic Mmssage in his ITEC level 3 Remedial Massage course at the Royal National College for the Blind, Hereford, and joined us as a 'bank' CA in 2008. He became permanent at Wingfield in early 2009.

His excellent sense of humour has seen him through some challenging times and he is a well-liked and dependable member of the team. Although he has now reverted back to being a 'bank' CA we are always glad to see him and find out what he has been up to.
